The steady and successful progression of Pennock Village’s development has been shaped by selfless contributions & valuable insight of many experienced individuals, each offering assistance in their field of expertise. Here’s why Fred Cramer of on-site contractor Wilco Contractors Superior Inc., chose to become involved:
Fred Cramer has been interested in the idea of a local rural retirement development since the idea first sparked among congregants of several local sister churches over 20+ years ago. When plans were finally put into motion, he was willing & ready to assist in the fundamental foundations.
Fred brings extensive experience in his field towards the project. As president of well-known local contracting company, Wilco Contractors Superior Inc., he has been involved in large projects involving civil & landscaping development and infrastructure throughout his entire career. An original part-owner of the property Pennock Village now sits on, Fred’s belief in the project runs deep.
“We needed a leader to spearhead the project. When James, a long-time friend of mine, initiated things, I was happy to help. The timing was right; it was a great opportunity to take on something that would benefit the community long-term.”
Fred believes the development will flourish and become an essential place for many members of the community, Oliver Paipoonge, to enjoy. “A place for our retirees, the communal feel & positive atmosphere, landscaping & walkways – I’m looking forward to seeing what it will become.”
Fred and his crew at Wilco have been working alongside James Collie (Board Chair), the Board of Directors, a separate building committee, and additional local contractors & businesses, to oversee the initial building plans that have been put in place towards the next few years. The last few months have proven a busy but successful time for Fred, clearing the property, placing in roadways, and installing services on the Pennock Village site.
“There’s still lots to do, but I’m hopeful towards the next 4-5 years, and as units start selling, that this will become a beautiful place.”
